I needed a replacement for a chronograph that I lost about a month ago (Fossil FS-4247). I have also been considering a watch with a PU band for a while and this one delivers almost everything I could want.



PROS

- Durable build quality

- Sporty design looks high end for a not-so-high end price

- Split seconds chronograph date function and tachymeter

- Luminous hands and markers

- PU band is more like silicone. Very soft flexible and comfortable.

- Charcoal contrast stitching in the band is cool

- Fits well and is not too big

- Looks awesome on the wrist

- Styling matches a wide variety of situations and wardrobe color schemes.



CONS

- I prefer a larger watch but this is a more sporty design so I am more forgiving of the smaller size (though many would still consider this watch large)

- PU band is not as breathable as a leather band. My wrist gets really sticky and sweaty if I go ride my bike with it on. I'm also worried about the durability of the band. However the woman at the fossil store said she's never heard of one breaking and it would also be covered under the excellent 11 year warranty if it did.

- Polished steel case sides will eventually scratch. I consider that battle scars but others might be turned off by it.

- Flat mineral crystal not as resistant to breaking as a domed crystal.

- The flyback function on the chronograph is slow (it takes longer for the chronograph to reset back to 0:00:00 than I would expect ).

- The chronograph buttons are small. This may be a problem for an athlete timing themselves on the go or anyone wearing gloves.More detail ...

the watch is a nice weight and came wrapped and in the fossil box with papers. I gave it as a birthday present and got it for a steal! It's a business casual watch- and the number marks have crystal details which make it dressy but not formal. You wont be disappointed.More detail ...

Fabulous looking watch - Definitely Eye catching

Believe me - this will definitely make people ask you "Where did u get that?". This was my best purchase of the year. It has been a year since i got it and i used to wear it almost all times and it still looks as new as it could ever be. I would strongly recommend getting this one. A nice watch but HUGE

This is a great watch but I had to return it because it's just too huge. It felt like I was trying to wear a clock on my wrist. I would advise anyone considering this watch (or really any watch > 40mm) to actually get out a ruler and measure the size on their wrist. Nice Watch

The dial is amazing. It would go well with a pair of denims and if you going for a meeting or a formal wedding you should think twice to wear this. This is more sporty and it would suite casuals and not formals. The strap needs to be changed and the watch would look even more classy. I think there is a mismatch between the style designed for the dial. The strap seems not designed for this product. If you got a good taste you should try another strap on it... I love this watch. I was never into big watches before thinking that it looks very manly on a woman's wrist. However this watch totally exceeded my expectations. I fell in love with the green dial and sparkly stones around it. It looks awesome! I took it to a watch shop to take a few links out and right away got compliments on it from the store owner. I wanted a big watch for casual wear. I love the bling factor with this watch. The mother of pearl inlay for the little dials is very nice. And the rhinestones are very eye-catching.
